A Cape Town trade name, carried forward
SWV Electrical opened its doors in Claremont in March 2012 — but the Voigt name has been on Cape Town building sites for a great deal longer than that.
We intend on becoming your go-to electricians
SWV Electrical is an electrical company offering top professional electrical services to residential properties, estates, apartments, commercial buildings, and factories in the greater Cape Town area.
The company grew out of W Voigt Painters, Renovators and Builders — a Cape Town family business with more than seven decades in the building industry.
Stephen Voigt, our founder, main shareholder and Managing Director, served his apprenticeship with an established electrical firm and qualified as a registered and licensed electrician in 2012. After several years gaining experience at other reputable companies, he started SWV Electrical in March 2012.
Growing up around builders shapes how a company works. We know what it costs a site when a trade doesn't pitch, when the chasing isn't done before the plasterer arrives, or when a certificate holds up a transfer. So we plan the work, communicate, and finish what we start.
